Kiehl's established since 1851 and has many well-known products such as Lip balm#1 and Cream de corps. What i really like about being Kiehl's is they are open-minded and friendly - i feel that every comment made to Kielh's are valuable and beneficial for them and they try to do things based on customers' feeback.
Recently, they just launched an extensive line of products for pets. Look at the picture, they posted many pets' picture as a background and i believe that those pics belong to Kiehl's customers. That's why i love Kiehl's
Lastly, they dedicate one webpage for "Employee favorites" in order to introduce new formulations and products for the customers who never or rarely had the opportunity to discover the new products. The poraloids of employee are nice and brilliant.

I got the first book to read in 2007. It's "Then We Set His Hair on Fire" by Phil Dusenberry, a former chairman and CCO at BBDO North America. This book isn't a new release but the cover is quite eye-catching. One thing i know is i was not in Dusenberry's team so i would love to read about Dusenberry's experiences in BBDO and advertising industry. I hope this book will lead me through many successful campaigns from BBDO.

Our Coffee Morning Bangkok#1 was great. We got 3 people attended (Me, Pip - a planner and Pik - a planner.)While we were having some drinks, the discussed topics were agency's life, how media planning and strategic planning mix, the future of our coffee morning, and etc. We started our conversation by each other's introduction. I was very grateful, Pip is a smart, friendly, and pretty laidback person. Pik is new to the strategic planning world but she is energetic and vivacious. At the end of the meeting, we decided to localize our coffee morning to be dinner meeting which is more convenient to the majority.
Next Meeting Date : 3 Jan 2007
Time : 7.00pm
Venue : To be confirmed again, will pick one restaurant near BTS.
Next time, i will take some photos and post them. Sorry, no photo this time.
I got one comment from Pin and i need to say something without hesitation - Pin, pls accept my apology for not informing you about the urgent change of time from 8.00am to 8.30am. Would you mind if i will buy you a drink to show my gratitude for your forgiveness?

The concept of 1+1 has been executed since Murakami for Louis Vuitton, Alexander McQueen for Puma, Armani for Benz, and etc. This one is Paul Smith for KidRobot - a collection of limited edition of T-shirt sold with "The Dunny" toy. A collaboration makes one thing greater than usual.

This massive of photos automatically forced me to buy a pro account of Flickr. I really had a great time there with other 6 friends and fun chasing the ducks around the pond. Also, i tried to touch a sheep but it scared of my sneaking. Here are the sample of this trip pics

I heard that David Beckham signed a contract with Motorola for being 3 years brand ambassador around June2006. Till now, i haven't seen anything from Motorola and Beckham, does anyone see? I think he might be busy with his jeans (VDB, Victoria David Beckham brand) and fragance business.

Surprisingly, i was tagged by Doug of Planning for fun. Thanks Doug for tagging me and your compliment about my prolific blog. When someone tags you and links to you, you need to tag another 5 people and write 5 things about yourself in order to farther this tagging thing. (I really wanna know who is the first tagger? but i am too lazy to trackback the links)
Well, here are my 5 things
1. When Pokemon firstly launched in the US market, i could remember all of 152 characters and their name. At that time, some of my friends called me "pikachu" instead of my real name.
2. I failed in accounting courses. I didn't even know what the debit and credit are? (Well i am not sure i do now)
3. I usually wash my face with water, hardly apply facial foam or facial cleanser to my face.
4. When i was 5, i put a tiny eraser in my nose and couldn't get it out by myself. Then my dad took me to the hospital after coming back from a kindergarten. It's a shame that i didn't tell my teacher but i left it in my nose for 4 hours.
5. I thought i couldn't stop nails biting but i finally made it. It was not good habit.
I would like to tag :
1. Adcentered : VCU adcenter student /contributes an insight of life from adcenter. 2. Ben Mason of Fond of ideas : awarded from Russell by APSotW (apple assignment)

Basically i love travelling and i really like this website hflyer.com (it's local thai website) about reviewing airlines including meals, airbus model, toilet, and etc. They will let website's members to create their own review when they are back from their trip. The members will take some photos starting from arriving an airport till landing to the destination. The set of photos consist of seats, meals, toilet, on-board magazine, blanket, fly attendants and etc. I really appreciate the persons who did this kind of reviews. They brought me the experiences, and what to expect from the airlines. (The pictures above were taken when one of the member flied the first class) This made me think about user-generated content.

Today i went to this coffee shop, called "Cream." It's a small coffee shop with just only 5 desks but the graphic art on the wall is nice. All of their decorations are retro things. The price is good just 1$ for Latte or Iced Tea with milk.

I instantly love this quote when i read it - "A japanese garden is not only a place for the cultivation of trees and flowering shrubs, but one that provides secluded leisure, rest, repose, meditation, and sentimental pleasure...The garden speaks to all the senses, not just to the mind alone." by Professor Takuma Tono, Designer of Portland's Japanese Garden.

For coffee lovers (well i don't drink coffee but really want to raise the issue), i found this at www.thebeanshop.com. It's really nice idea about delivering the coffee of the month for a year and would be a great gift. 365days with 12 tastes of coffee, sounds good huh?

This is the picture of Takuya Angel's clothes in Japan. It's a tiny brand but big impact. Earn 30 million JPYen a year. Takuya Sawada, the designer, said "Fashion is like a business card" and "Just by looking at someone’s clothes you can understand a lot. What kind of work they do, what kind of music they like, what kind of food they eat." (The clothes are influenced by Samurai's clothes)

Samsonite's ad told me about how good it is about travel solution but i can't agree 100%. Because everytime when i travel, i stand in front of a luggage belt with some doubts :
1. Where is my luggage?
2. Oh gosh, too many people using Samsonite's luggage when they are on their trip.
3. All Samsonite's luggage are in black, dark blue, and grey. It's not enough to make a difference.
My own solution is to mark or tag my luggage with something (eg. ribbon, keychain, colorful sticker.)

I forgot to post about this when i joined the speaking session by Erik Kessels from KesselsKramer. "I amsterdam" is the new motto for people and Amsterdam city. It shows their pride and confidence of the city. Due to the increase of competition among the european cities, Amsterdam needs to do something to stand on its strengths. Umm...Nice copy, I am amsterdam.

This is a place i am dreaming of visiting and overnight staying. It's a resort called Sila Evason at Samui island, Thailand. It's very expensive and that's why it's just a dream. I don't why but i absolutely know that i love the beach and sea.

I got these bookmarks free from buying some books at a book shop. Actually, the staff gave me one but i asked for two. The bookmark itself is small and nice but the picture of Baume&Mercier watch on it is a wrong media selection. I think replacing with Kit Kat pic and its slogan, Have a break, have a Kit Kat" will be more relevant and fun.

Hong Kong Tourism Board has set the Santa's town at Statue Square, Hong Kong Island. There is a one corner called Wishing corner where the people and tourists will write down their wishes and hang them on the Chrsitmas tree. The below pic (via hongkongdailyphoto.com) is the sample of wish card. (copy: I wish my family to be healthy and my husband to be good to me.)
I assumed from the wish she made that she must be a housewife who dedicates her life in taking care of her kids and family. Her marriage may be not great enough but she tries to cope. I hope her wish will be granted soon. (sorry if my analysis is not that good)

This is a beautiful direct mail trying to persuade me to buy their condo unit (of course, i don't have much money to buy one.) Do you see the chocolates from the photo? I assumed it yes. They featured one slogan, "the delicate taste of living." Oh my God, i am almost blinded by their slogan. I feel like i need to eat chocolates more than i need to buy condo unit. I know it's hard to find the balance of their communication (Yeah, your chocolates photo is too big while i hardly see how the studio and lobby look like)

Today i went to see the Thai Confectionery Exhibition, a small exhibition about a history of Thai sweets. I was surprised that there were many Thai sweets that i don't know, some are existed and some are not. Here is information i like from the exhibition : " Thai sweets have been shaped by their experience from foreign influences. Ingredients and recipes brought in by the foreigners over the years have been adapted and customized to enable use with Thai methods. This has resulted in producing a lot of new Thai sweets."
At the end of the exhibitions, there was the temptation Thai sweet shop. I couldn't resist to try and buy.
