Hey guys, i am going to Hong Kong this Friday. I would like to reveal how i selected the airline this time. The factors are ....

1. Price - Thai Airways and Cathey Pacific were deselected coz too expensive. The Gulf Air, Dragon Air, and Emirates Air shared the same price range which is reasonable.
2. Time - Emirates was cut due to the flight back to BKK is too late. There were Gulf Air and Dragon Air left.
3. Personal Preference - Lastly, i selected Dragon Air because they serve HaagenDazs.

Hello Dragon air, i know you got Haagen Dazs. lol.

Here are the pics of Notting Hill Carnival, UK. I never join any carnivals coz we don't have carnival tradition in Thailand. They must be fun and terrific.

Congratulations

Make every drop matter

After searching the movement in Australia, i found out about a new campaign of Coca-cola company (Australia). I think it's the corporate campaign that makes a commitment to the consumer - "Make every drop matter"

As we know that a traditional soft drink is no longer welcome in some companies, or schools, Coca-Cola Australia needs to launch something to counter this change by promoting its full range of drinks. For example, "Your needs have changed. Your tastes have changed. And the Coca-Cola Company is changing along with you."

Hey guys, see this iLove magazine from Australia. It's cool and innovative. They claim that they are the world's first magazine on a bottle (sounds great, doesn't it?) iLove magazine targets to the young, in-trend, and fashionable women on the go. The magazine features fashion, beauty, relationship, health, and etc. It's easy - just peel the strip and get the magazine on the bottle to read. The magazine itself is compact and convenient. There are six issues per month.

Deskcipline

When i was at Initiative Media, Mindshare and Carat, i think i got the most messy desk in the company. Why? I maybe not well-organized. I often kiddingly said "beware of snakes and rats" to my folks when thay came near to my desk. That's was my bad discipline.

Here is the deskcipline from wired magazine as well. I should read a million times...lol.

1) Stack the knickknacks and pile up the papers until you actually see your desk's top.

2) Line up books and binders to establish a perimeter for your work area. Keep all extraneous items away from your keyboard and mouse.

3) Hit the Container Store. Magazine holders help isolate clutter. Folder organizers keep lower-priority projects from usurping valuable real estate. A document tray provides a target for paperwork that coworkers might otherwise toss haphazardly onto your desk.

4) Set aside a few minutes daily to clear your desk. If you have to, make it a standing appointment in your calendar.

How to stay awake in dull meetings

I found this article about "How to stay awake in dull meetings" from wired magazine. It might be useful for office workers. Read and try it

1. Open a window. Warm, stuffy rooms promote brain fog. Fresh air and street noise will help keep you alert even when the subject matter doesn't.

2. Apply (acu)pressure. Tap your fingers on your forehead, massage the muscles between your thumb and index finger, rub the base of your skull, or knead the spot below your knee. Touching your private parts could also perk you up, but HR might object.

3. Peel an orange. Or pop an Altoid. Citrus and mint aromas not only help you stay focused, they also reduce anxiety and frustration.

4.If you're the boss, have mercy. Don't schedule meetings between 1 and 4 pm. People get mighty drowsy after scarfing down their turkey sandwiches. And save those long, tedious speeches for morning sessions.

I think the boss should provide some chewing gums or mints in the meeting. For me, i often drink water to keep my mind awake and refresh. I really hate morning meeting :)

Here are the samples of Jasper Wong's jobs. I think they are unique and cool. I love them. It would be great if we would find these kind of jobs in our advertising industry.

I am so touched by this story about Rick and Dick Hoyt. They are so strong and passionate. I instantly know that "this one must be shared now." And i did for my readers.

Toys are not just for a kid. I think we, especially in advertising industry, need to play toys as well. Mmmm... Will playing toys make us look as a kid? if so, choose wisely.
Like this
one, it looks classy and sophisticated. If i were the owner of this product, i would make another versions of Tokyo, Berlin, Paris, New York or Sydney. They would make the product image more fashionable and hip.

Toilet Culture

Each country has a different toilet culture, i think. Beginning with the sign of toilet room till the toilet paper reflect some cults. For example, electronic toilets in Japan, cleaning spray for using public toilet (esp. for women) or leaving the toilet seat down.

One of my friend spends one hour reading newspaper in the toilet room. Is it his culture?

Sorry, i was off for many days. I am trying to post whatever things more often. I have been busy with my family business. I have learnt many things from operating Internet&Game Cafe. Today i learn one thing from my client, they are male teen 12-17 yrs old. Most of them think that pierced left-ear is "cool" and most of them did.

Behind this observation, it is kind of fashion and admiration. When i was 15, wearing Next shoes was "cool". That's my nostalgia.
