Recently, Baskin Robbins just renovated their brand and retail stores. Whenever i visit the Baskin Robbins, i often have an iconic pink spoon in my hand. They got a new logo, packages, design, and etc. The renew of the brand and retail stores strengthens the pinkness which i feel more energetic and cheerful. I would like to share this, an article on the new changes of BR and this, a history of BR. My favorite flavors are Cookie 'n Cream and Praline 'n Cream.

In Thailand, DailyNews paper, one of the big daily newspapers, are creating a buzz in newspaper printing business here. DailyNews readers will smell a nice perfume tomorrow as a result of perfumed ink which was processed in printing newspaper. What a better pleasure in reading newspaper.

In the paper, there will be Comfort, Unilever's fabric softener, ad trying to communicate about nice perfume proposition. Will update again when i get the newspaper. Lastly, read this i found it about perfumed ink as well. It was invented since 1940 in Indianapolis.

Edit : Here is an double full-page ad by Confort (copy says... the power of fragrance, just half of a lid. This special DailyNews edition from Comfort's scent.) Click the image to zoom. Well, i don't like the ad, from Ogilvy Bangkok.

Brand Intrusion

Midnight Midnight Midnight!
This live news talk TV program on Thailand Channel3 disturbed me. You see the 2 white mugs on the table? They have a red logo of Vitamilk, a local soy milk brand and I am so sure that Vitamilk pay for its brand presence in the program.
Then, notice the third white mug under the table with Starbucks logo. I am so sure Starbucks don't pay for it. It's accidentally placed it, i guess. If i were Vitamilk people, i would send an extra mug with my logo to them. Next time, no Starbucks again.

My Toys

My life has been so busy and busy. But I would like to show my toys when i was 9-10. I can't recall whether i was a young boy who laid down on a floor of the mall and cried out loud to get my parents' attention when i needed those toys or not. It's a psycho trick that kids trying to humiliate their parents by doing this. Came in with tears then came out with smiles.

This one is a 4-5"robot with its weapon. We played it in a battle arena and tried to swing our weapon to hit the other robot's head.
This is from Tomy Corp. It starts from the bottom with a small metal ball. You need to take metal ball to the top of the machine. The big blue button is a launcher.

Reebok Freestyle

Reebok Freestyle, a women's athletic shoe style, celebrates 25th Anniversary with a collection of limited edition shoes. Now, only one pair just released. Reebok needs to work harder than Nike, Adidas, and Puma. They might think that launching limited edition shoes will help them grow their business while we don't see any serious branding activities. Shame.

Don't you remember?

When i was a student,

I were taught to remember, not to understand.
I often sat under a tree trying to remember some poems.
Examination criteria was to remember.
Art class was unimportant.

I was not so sure how much pain my brain got.

remember this??

When i was cleaning my own shoes, i noticed this on my Puma box. Although it's mere a small thing but it's funny and creative. I can imagine that these kind of thing will never appear on Nike or Adidas shoes box.
Love to see it.. xoxo

Yellow

The below paragraph are from this website, featuring the meaning of color. I picked the yellow one, so read it
Yellow produces a warming effect, arouses cheerfulness, stimulates mental activity, and generates muscle energy. Yellow is often associated with food. Bright, pure yellow is an attention getter, which is the reason taxicabs are painted this color. When overused, yellow may have a disturbing effect; it is known that babies cry more in yellow rooms. Yellow is seen before other colors when placed against black; this combination is often used to issue a warning. In heraldry, yellow indicates honor and loyalty. Later the meaning of yellow was connected with cowardice.
Did i mention that this yellowness of this photo makes me feel hungry?

Doodling Evening

Just came back from Bangkok Coffee Evening #10. Before we enjoyed eating adult ice-cream at Amaltery, a cocktail ice-cream shop, We did have dinner at Pola Pola restaurant. The good thing at this restaurant i happily found is their table cloth. They wrap a plain white paper sheet on the table as a table cloth with some crayons. We all doodled. I wrote "doodle" "brownie conspiracy" and i drew a man, a plant, colorful dots, stars, and etc. I also use this table cloth as a white board to explain media terms such as rating point, GRPs, and media target to Pikk, an AE at Hakuhodo. It was a great evening. We all enjoyed it so much.

While i am reading NY Times online, this one was popped up. Yeah, UPS online ad tried to tell me what they can do for me..blah..blah..blah. I wonder about the message, "What can brown do for you?" Who or What is Brown? I visited their website to see TVCs but no answer about "Brown" thing.

Brown = UPS, if this is a reason. OMG, i still don't get it why they call themselves Brown. Can someone enlighten me or hit me the background of this "Whiteboard" campaign?

Again, another luxurious brand-Gucci opened its flagship store in Ginza, Tokyo. The luxurious retail destination is all about style, customization, exclusivity, experience, and money. Not too surprising, they got Gucci cafe on the fourth floor, gallery and event hall on the top of the building. In the website, Gucci lets viewer to examine the building, structure and floor plans.

What if? Prada street? LVMH avenue featuring all brands in LVMH group at the same place?

Religious Tattoo

A Tattoo from a general perspective is an art while some people in some countries take it as a religious and magical reason. Look at Angelina Jolie's recent tattoos from Thailand by Ajarn Noo Kanphai, a famous religious-tattoo master. In Thailand, some believe that doing religious tattoo will help them protecting evils and dangers, enhancing career or living. The religious tattoo is not colorful as a typical tattoo.

I heard that Ajarn Noo just came back to Thailand from tattooing Madonna and Brad Pitt is appointing him to get one as well.

I got a fever yesterday, sorry for lacking of posts
